The Munch–Picasso exhibition has been made possible through a special collaboration between the Munch Museum in Oslo and the Fundación Almine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso (FABA), with the support of Fundación Unicaja. The opening ceremony was held on a more subdued scale, and the gala dinner scheduled to follow the event was cancelled in the wake of the train accident in Spain, which claimed more than 70 lives.
