On Thursday, 15 October 2026, Queen Silvia of Sweden visited Gothenburg to learn about research being conducted at the University of Gothenburg under the Queen Silvia Professorship in Global Child and Adolescent Health, with a focus on mental health.
In connection with Queen Silvia’s 80th birthday, the University of Gothenburg received a donation from Carl Bennet AB to establish the Queen Silvia Professorship in Global Child and Adolescent Health, with a focus on mental health.
Queen Silvia also visited Frejaskolan in Tynnered. The school is home to the “School as an Arena” project, through which it collaborates with other organisations to provide meaningful activities for pupils and their families before and after school hours.
