On 30 September 2026, Princess Kako visited Ando Shippo in Minami Ward, Nagoya, where she viewed traditional crafts, including Owari Shippo, a traditional form of Japanese enamelware. She also visited the 73rd Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition at the Furukawa Art Museum in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya. Organized by the Japan Kogei Association and others, the exhibition is currently being held at the museum.
A total of 183 works from seven categories, including ceramics and textile arts, are on display at the exhibition. Furukawa Tameyuki, director of the Furukawa Art Museum, guided Princess Kako through the exhibition. She also received explanations of their works from Junki Tsuchiya, a textile artist and holder of the title of Living National Treasure, and Toru Suzuki, a ceramic artist. Princess Kako serves as president of the Japan Kogei Association.

She looks lovely and always seems to be very engaged with the people and the event.
ReplyDeleteLovely though I would have liked a pearl necklace on the collar. The swish of the dress looks good. The shoes, if only the vamp was a bit lower.
ReplyDeleteA beautifull dress on a beautifull princess
ReplyDeleteThese traditional crafts are so precious and beautiful. And it is always a pleasure to see Kako!
ReplyDeleteLa princesse Kako est magnifique dans cette robe dont la jupe à plis doit montrer du mouvement quand elle marche ; j’ai essayé de mieux voir ses boucles d’oreilles mais en vain ?!
ReplyDeleteWhile this is still on a very conservative side of dressing, she almost always manages to look as lovely and youthful as possible. I like her very much.

DeleteShe's always wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt of her dress has nice movement and swish, very feminine and elegant overall. The bodice and neckline of the top, I love as are the sleeves, very pretty. Her hair back off her face, looks splendid. She has such a lovely face, beautiful smile and engaging personality. She is always enthusiastic, interested and gives 100% to all her visits, a marvelous asset to the Imperial family.
ReplyDeleteAny reference to her facial features that may not appeal to the commenter on this blog are really unnecessary, not interesting and lacking in substance pertaining to fashion. Thank you.
Very elegant and very feminine! Kako looks so pretty here. She's such a treasure for the Imperial family as an ambassador. I always love seeing her.
