The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are undertaking an official three-day visit to Finland. The programme focuses in particular on cooperation between Finland and the United Kingdom in the fields of innovation, culture, education, resilience, and defence. On October 26, 2026, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh visited Helsinki City Hall, where they met Mayor Daniel Sazonov and his wife, Anita Westerholm.
On Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh also met Finnish President Alexander Stubb and his wife, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki. For the occasion, the Duchess of Edinburgh wore a houndstooth-patterned wool-and-silk-blend blazer and a matching pleated midi skirt by Gabriela Hearst.

ReplyDeleteI don't remember the last time an outfit of the Duchess of E. hit all the right buttons for me. It does now. Style is serious and seriously good, shoe *and* bag colours both fit well, no (visible) messy/crumpled neckline, hair is excellently groomed - I am full of praise, I have not seen her put together that well for ages. This is fully appropriate for her role. - That said, I would not choose this outfit for myself - but this cannot and should not play a role when judging a royal.
