On October 6, 2026, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde received around 70 of the country’s top athletes at Laeken Palace. The athletes have distinguished themselves through exceptional performances over the past two years. Their coaches and managers were also in attendance.
The athletes included those who won medals at European or World Championships in an Olympic or Paralympic discipline, as well as Belgian athletes who achieved exceptional results at the international level. For the occasion, Queen Mathilde wore a midi dress by Natan.
