  1. Both look totally devastated. So many parts of their job must be so very difficult, but let’s hope that their visit made some little difference to those injured, their families and the staff who must have worked so hard. LRB

  2. I hope their presence brought hope and comfort to those they met. Such a shocking accident. When we step onto trains in Europe, we trust they are safe.

If I remember correctly this it is not the first accident with trains in Spain.

    3. It's at least the third one in recent years that I remember. It's like "note to self;" "Stay off the high speed train when visiting Spain. Rent a car."

  8. Its good to see the Royal couple visiting. Hopefully the support and empathy was a source of comfort to the injured. I'm sure the staff were heartened by the Royal .bolstering. This was a dreadful accident. Most sincere sympathies to the families from this part of the world to the awful loss of life. Continued wishes and prayers of improvement to the injured.

  9. They clearly feel everyone’s pain. I appreciate Letizia went with bare makeup.

    1. No makeup makes her face look sad and so narrow. One can see the bones in her face. I think she looks thinner and thinner during the last months.

  13. A second deadly train crash in a year, this is awful. I don't understand why the royal couple is accompanied by the minister of education, and not by the prime minister, the minister of health and the minister of transport.

You are observant and your remarks are correct .
      My thoughts exactly.
I do not have any update.
I only read that also some Italians were involved in this immense tragedy and one is still missing.
Heartfelt condolences to the families who lost dear ones and positive thoughts and prayers to the injured for a safe recovery.
