On October 12, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, accompanied by Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, presided over the events commemorating Spain’s National Day at the Plaza de Cánovas del Castillo in Madrid. Afterwards, the King and Queen hosted the traditional reception marking Spain’s National Day at the Royal Palace of Madrid.
For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore a dusty pink dress by the Spanish fashion house The 2nd Skin Co. She accessorised the look with a diamond and pearl brooch from Queen Victoria Eugenia’s collection of heirloom jewels, which she first wore at the 2019 Military Easter Parade. Infanta Sofía wore a red outfit by American designer Tommy Hilfiger.
