On Thursday, 15 October 2026, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg visited Gaston Thorn International School in Luxembourg as part of an initiative organised by the European Association Against Leukodystrophies (ELA International). Founded in France in 1992, the organisation is dedicated to fighting leukodystrophies, a group of around 100 rare genetic diseases affecting the central nervous system.
The dictation, specially written for the occasion by Laurent Mauvignier, winner of the 2025 Prix Goncourt, aims to raise pupils’ awareness of leukodystrophies and the challenges faced by those affected by these conditions.

Great to see Maria Teresa and her big smile! She exudes warmth and her outfit is perfect for the event.
ReplyDeleteYes she looks great
DeleteYes, you are right.
DeleteThis outfit imo is perfect for Maria Teresa. The pants, excellent. The jacket, same! Both these fit very well, the overall look is really stylish. The blouse is quite unusual and eye catching. I like this outfit. Her hair, styled in this way, I love. She is happy and engaging, a wonderful smile.
ReplyDeleteLove the earrings..bold and colourful
ReplyDeleteRose fuchsia et noir parfaitement combinés ; j'adore le style de ses lunettes !
ReplyDeleteThe pantsuit and blouse are of a perfect fit. The jacket is not too tight in arms. Stephanie should get some tips from her mother-in-law how to pick up clothes suitable for her body type. GD Maria Teresa doesn't have a model figure either but she manages to choose the outfits that suit her body shape.
ReplyDeleteShe’s a real delight and very good with young people and well, humans in general. I like her a lot.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely dressed. Thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteShe looks wonderful here--these bright colors suit her so well. Its nice to see her as it has been a while but I love that she is stepping back to let Stephanie establish herself in the role of Grand Duchess (at least that is my take on her very rare appearances right now). I think she is also enjoying retirement too--I know I am as I retired 18.months ago!
