On 3 October 2026, Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and their daughter, Princess Aiko, visited the Equestrian Park in Setagaya, Tokyo, where they watched the show jumping event at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. It was the first time since 1969 that Emperor Naruhito had watched an equestrian event at the Equestrian Park. Princess Aiko visited the venue in September 2025 for an event organised by the Japan Racing Association (JRA).
