On October 7, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria attended the total defence exercise “RSÖ26 Utrym,” which aimed to test the evacuation plan for Gotland County. Field exercises were carried out, including the relocation of people from one location to another within the county.

The Crown Princess and representatives of the Swedish Civil Defence Agency, the Swedish Armed Forces, the Swedish Transport Administration, and other organizations also visited a site where the Swedish Transport Administration had practised constructing a temporary emergency bridge. Observers from Denmark and Lithuania also attended the exercise.

    It is a bit concerning to see the growing importance of exercises and manoeuvres like this. To have a high ranking royal attend/observe it might make the try-out a little less disconcerting. Crown Princess Victoria seems very engaged, also carrying a less grave mien, like she obviously did in between, makes the whole thing look a bit more relaxed. I hope.

      Well she did spend time in the military so this would be of interest for her. These exercises are on going for every country and Sweden just joined nato.

      I agree 20:07. I wish we were not in a time of growing military worries. I wish the lessons that our parents grew up in, that peace and cooperation are worth everything had been learnt.

    What a marvellous woman! CP Victoria's support of this exercise would have boosted morale. In agreement with DSC 20.07 it's concerning that it's needed.
