On 29 September 2026, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Headingley Rugby Stadium, the home of Leeds Rhinos, to learn more about the work carried out by rugby league legends Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield to raise awareness of motor neurone disease (MND). The Prince and Princess met families affected by MND before welcoming Kevin onto the pitch and learning about his 7 in 7: The Grand Finale week-long challenge.
Sir Kevin is taking on the challenge to raise awareness and funds to support people living with MND, running in memory of his Rhinos teammate and close friend Rob Burrow, who died from MND in June 2024. Members of Rob Burrow’s family, including his children Macy, Maya and Jackson, were also at the home of Wakefield Trinity to welcome the rugby league legend at the end of the third day of his run.
