The Duchess of Edinburgh has visited the Republic of Zambia to celebrate the relationship between Zambia and the UK. The Duchess began the final day of her visit to Zambia by visiting Mukuni Rural Health Centre. There, she met patients, health workers, volunteers and staff from Sightsavers who are supporting Zambia’s progress towards eliminating trachoma.
During her visit, the Duchess toured the health centre and listened as medical professionals explained how the programme operates within local communities. She also visited Libuyu Secondary School and the Wayi Wayi Art Centre in Livingstone. For the occasion, the Duchess wore a blue silk bow blouse and matching silk skirt by Penelope Chilvers.

This outfit is perfect for this visit. A wonderful visit to the rural health centre. This would have been very interesting listening to what the service provides to the local community.
ردحذفI agree with all you say Ava (here and in general!). Lovely colour and style for Sophie and very interesting visit.
حذفVery nice.
ردحذفOne of her less attractive outfits. She must like this blouse and skirt. We seen her this spring and summer or with the blouse on another skirt or with the skirt and another blouse and jacket. To me the best look was the skirt with boots, a little blouse (or T-shirt ?) and a brown (faux) leather or faux daim jacket.
ردحذفVery nice!
ردحذفColour and cut.
Yes, she loves this outfit, but that does not make it look better on her - the outfit does not love her back. Maybe all or some of us (women) have a small "little girl" department in our souls, cherishing features that look sweet on a child's body. But even young teenage girls leave that phase behind them, just watch how Estelle dresses differently now. Unfortunately, Duchess Sophie does not have inhibitions to help herself to outfits with all those features and with this outfit, full circle - big puff sleeves, a bow at the back, and a wide skirt is not enough, we have layers with ruffles too ... what a pity, it is a gorgeous colour and a wonderful fabric. This is simply too much sweetness for an adult woman, like a "baby doll" for daywear.
ردحذفI really like it. She does too. You absolutely don’t need to! That’s the fun of fashion!! But I don’t think it’s a lack in Sophie, rather, you have a different taste.
حذفDear @Anon 13:15, the fun of fashion is for me sure not that we have differing tastes and that not everybody likes the same. Fashion makes fun for the wearer and for the commenters alike, if the items are chosen so carefully, that they bring out the best in the wearer. But I think Sophie choses without this "seventh sense": she choses what she likes, but she lacks the capability to consider if it is really nice on her or only on the model. And this seventh sense is taste.
حذفD'accord pour cette association mais à mon avis, le bât blesse au niveau du chemisier avec ses manches bouffantes !
ردحذفA little girl's pendant looks terrible on a 60-year-old woman. Let's leave it to Kate (the same for Camilla). Irene
ردحذفThe first photo is wonderful! I also like her outfit.
ردحذفThis outfit is one i wish Sophie would retire. The fabric, puffy sleeves, full skirt, bow on the back, and ruffles are not flattering on her (or on the model shown.)

I like the top and skirt but not together. The fabric is beautiful but there is too much going on with each item and they create a 'busy' look. Both would look great paired with a more simple pant, top or skirt.
