On 25 September 2026, Queen Letizia presided over the official opening ceremony of the 2026/2027 vocational training academic year at I.E.S. Ribera del Tajo in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, Castilla-La Mancha. During the visit, Queen Letizia held a meeting with the educational community and partner companies and toured various facilities at the centre dedicated to innovation, artificial intelligence and technological training.
Upon her arrival at Ribera del Tajo, the Queen was greeted by the President of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page; the Minister for Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Milagros Tolón; and the Mayor of Talavera de la Reina, José Julián Gregorio. The Queen also held a meeting with the centre’s educational community.
Queen Letizia visited the Cytodiagnosis and Pathological Anatomy laboratory belonging to the Healthcare branch of I.E.S. Ribera del Tajo in Talavera de la Reina. She also visited the Business Classroom of the Administration and Management branch, where the ‘Simula’ Administrative Management project was presented.
