Prince Albert and Princess Charlene Welcome Council of Europe Ambassadors

As part of Monaco’s Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene welcomed the ambassadors and permanent representatives of the Organisation’s 46 member states to the Princely Palace. On September 2, 2026, the Principality of Monaco hosted a meeting of the Ministers’ Deputies of the Council of Europe.

The Committee of Ministers is the Council of Europe’s decision-making body. It meets once a year at ministerial level and weekly at ambassadorial level at the Organisation’s headquarters in Strasbourg. This year, the meeting was held at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco rather than at the Organisation’s headquarters in Strasbourg.
