On September 2, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla, accompanied by French President Emmanuel Macron and Mrs. Brigitte Macron, visited the British Museum in London to view the Bayeux Tapestry exhibition. This will be the first time the Bayeux Tapestry has been in the UK since it was made almost 1,000 years ago.
Stitched in wool thread on linen fabric, the artwork depicts events leading up to the Battle of Hastings in October 1066, when William, Duke of Normandy, defeated King Harold’s Anglo-Saxon army. The 70-metre tapestry, originally embroidered in England but kept for centuries in France, is on special loan for the exhibition and will go on public display next week.

ردحذفLovely ladies in white. I love that Camilla can absolutely step up her elegance … when required … but doesn’t overdo it in her daily work. For me that’s a very good balance that matches her personality and own choices. Interesting to note Mme Macron relying on Camilla for stability.

ردحذفIt is a dress, so far it is typical - but look, the collared-and-zipped-up shirt-like quality on the top part is completely missing, yay!! instead a beautiful embellishment and a perfect open neckline. Both ladies look perfect, elegant and attractive, holding hands (and laughing) while stepping down the stairs in heels - well done!
