In her capacity as President of the Luxembourg Red Cross, Grand Duchess Stéphanie received Marc Wagener, the organisation’s new Director General, on Wednesday, 23 September 2026. Mr Wagener succeeds Michel Simonis, who had held the position since 2013.
Grand Duchess Stéphanie congratulated Marc Wagener on his appointment and wished him every success in his new role. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the priorities of the Luxembourg Red Cross, as well as the challenges facing the organisation.

ReplyDeleteShe looks terrible. Cloths that do not fit are never a good look. White trousers only work on supermodels & every other woman including GDS should avoid at all costs.
She doesn’t look terrible! That is really an overly harsh assessment. She looks beautiful - her trousers are a bit tight.

DeleteLRB, she no doubt has someone or several to help her choose outfits, but of course also has her own preferences. I feel for her; it’s so much harder when we are not a tall slim athletic build for which the vast majority of western fashion is made, and she receives so much criticism for doing her best. Which is absolutely all anyone needs to do.

Nice to see her in a working mode which is different from her classic that we see here: visiting art galleries. She seems a very sympathetic person. Interesting to see an inner room of the Royal residence, quite an unusual chair he is sitting on vs her sofa.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed the contrast as well. Stephanie looks very relaxed on the sofa, while Mr. Wagener looks a little bit strained. Or maybe it's just his manner of sitting.
DeleteI think it requires a bit of furniture rethinking so a guest can choose a comfy seat or a more formal one. The current setting only allows one party the relaxed seating.
DeleteI like the color combination of Stephanie’s outfit, but both the top and the pants look too small for her. The furnishings and decor of the room they are sitting in look interesting and luxurious.

This outfit is good and I would like to know what exactly does not fit in the eyes of those who think it does not fit. Nothing on the face of this earth will fit on a person with fuller figure like it does on a slim person. And no fitting will hide the fact that she has a fuller figure - except putting the person in tent-like clothing, maybe. So, this fact as a given: she looks really nice here.

DeleteIn the picture where she’s standing, the pants appear quite obviously too tight in the crotch. The sides of the shirt are stretched too far apart at the split, and the front of the top looks too short. Stephanie is absolutely beautiful, but these clothes don’t fit her well. It has nothing to do with a “fuller figure.” To me, her figure is pretty normal for a 40-ish woman.

DeleteI like the materials/fabrics used here. Also, the colours do look nice on her. However, I think the blouse still might be a little too tight (around the upper arms/shoulders, first picture in particular; while being seated), and the trousers are okay-ish but maybe not working too well with her physique as a whole.

Seems there's a bit of that going on here as well yet nobody gets called out on it. The Grand Duchess looks good! all the comments about her body aren't any more appropriate than comments about a skinny princess or queen. Jeez.
ReplyDeleteWell, yes. I think we should look past things that are called "body shaming", because everyone has a different body, a different figure, a different physique. Some are tall and slender, some come with a petite frame, some are more fully figured. Nothing bad about it as such. However, the fashion, the clothing has to go along with all these individual traits. And in many cases regarding Grandduchess Stephanie, it sadly does not. It has nothing to do with her maybe having put on some extra pounds. This is not the issue. But on a blog dedicated to royal fashion, we are allowed to make our thoughts known, and this entails saying what could be possibly wrong with what a person is wearing, or what we like/dislike about it. When I consider something not too suitable, I say so. And that might include a remark about the person's body. Be it skinny or otherwise. I give praise when praise is due, and I give criticism when criticism is due. Simple as that. What I do not say, of course not, is that XYZ should gain some weight, or that ZYX should lose some weight. That's overstepping the boundaries.
DeleteWell the colours are nice. I am thinking the top is a tad snug, but the style is a good choice. Perhaps in a different fabric it would be more forgiving as these soft silky fabrics are too clinging. The pants are fine, but the underwear might be contributing to the look. She has a curvy real woman figure and dress appropriately. IMO

ReplyDeleteAprès recherches, j’ai réussi à donner un nom à la couleur du chemisier à savoir "vert de gris foncé" qui est parfaite pour se combiner avec une couleur claire !
ReplyDeleteWhy does she wear cheap pants that have a 'pleat in the front that is sewn'? That just looks so tacky. Definitely not the first time she's worn pants with this type of pleat in the front of the leg.
