Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway will begin studying International Relations and Political Economy this autumn at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Oslo as an exchange student from the University of Sydney. Following Crown Princess Mette-Marit's recent lung transplant, Princess Ingrid Alexandra has chosen to continue her studies at the University of Oslo in order to remain closer to her family.
The University of Oslo will hold an official welcome ceremony on August 10, 2026, the first day of the academic year. Princess Ingrid Alexandra will be welcomed by Rector Ragnhild Hennum, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Anne Julie Semb, and President of the Student Parliament Anna Bergum Furset. Following the official welcome ceremony, she will continue her studies at the University of Oslo as a regular student.

She will be close to home and study in Oslo. So, we will see her more often at events. Always nice to have the children close. I wish her the best for her studies.

The very best wishes to her, I hope her studies go well.
ReplyDeleteI hope she will have the chance that other young royals often have and use, later on: to study and live for a while in the anonymity of a different country.
ReplyDeleteYes always good. She did get at least a semester in Sydney. I’m glad too that she can choose to be close to her mum in a significantly scary period health wise. I wish her all the best.
DeleteMe lo auguro anch’io, non può perdere un’occasione così importante per la sua crescita.
DeleteIngrid is still studying in Sydney. She's only gonna be an exchange student in Oslo one semester due to her mother's illness.
DeleteJe suis ravie qu’elle soit auprès de sa famille et de poursuivre ses Ă©tudes ; de plus, nous aurons l’occasion de la voir plus souvent !
ReplyDeletePrudent choice given the family situation. No doubt she and her brother will be needed more in Norway, at least for now, given the ages of their grandparents and the health of their mother.
