Princess Eugenie revealed her daughter’s name 14 days after giving birth. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have named their new arrival Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank. Princess Eugenie also shared a photo of Adelaide Elizabeth Annina wrapped in a blanket, as well as photos capturing the moments when Adelaide met her older brothers. All the new photos were taken by Princess Eugenie herself.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank welcomed their third child, Adelaide, on August 3 at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby is currently 15th in line to the throne. Taking to Instagram, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank revealed that their third child is called Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, a younger sister to August, five, and Ernest, three.
Princess Eugenie wrote alongside the announcement: “2 weeks ago today we welcomed our girl to the world. And since then we've had the most special, cosy and love-filled time. We are so happy to share Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank.”
“Named after three people we love and admire, past and present, including her great-grandmother, whom we hold close in our hearts. Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home. Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers.”

The triumph of life, how heartwarming!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful names for a very beautiful baby girl.
Wishing them all the best .
I love the last picture of the two brothers with their little sister. I see a little smile on their sister's face as if she recognizes the presence of her two brothers. The two boys are beautiful children too. In my country the name is considered as very old. I'd prefer Annina which sounds lighter for a girl as the first name. According to the law it is the first name which is considered as the official name on official documents f.ex. ID cards (in mine and other European countries).
ReplyDeleteBack to say that I am impressed by the name Annina ( = little Ann(e)/ Annie), what a peculiar choice!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds very Italian style, I'd say.
Curious as to how Eugenie and Jack favoured this name over the English counterpart.
Apparently it's the name of a close friend of Princess Eugenie
DeleteAbsolutely delicious photos of extremely delectable children. Adelaide looks to be very loved and has a beautiful name.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet pictures of baby Adelaide and her brothers.

Un beau prénom avec les autres bien choisis !
ReplyDeleteThree half-faces of three babies, more than we are accustomed to! Hallelujah! :-) I'd like to give a nod to that hat on Eugene - Helen has chosen the photo well, she looks really lovely.
ReplyDeleteAdelaide is adorable 😍 lovely picture with her brothers. Happy news & all the best to the family.
ReplyDeleteHooray. proper pics of a baby, not just the back of its head. Afraid I’m not greatly taken by the name. However, I do applaud Princess Eugenie for carrying them into the old Hanoverian names into the next generation, she follows the decision of her parents to use royal but less fashionable names for her sister and herself. Nice to see all the Elizabeth’s in the great granddaughters as well. Only two of the 4 families with boys have used Philip, which is a shame.
ReplyDeleteAnnina is very common Finnish name.
