On August 3, 2026, Japan’s Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko attended the opening ceremony of the National High School Comprehensive Athletic Meet, also known as the Inter-High, held at the Shiga Daihatsu Arena in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. Prince Akishino delivered remarks to the athletes participating in the competition.
At the beginning of the ceremony, a moment of silence was observed for the victims of the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred on July 28. This year’s National High School Athletic Meet is being held primarily in the Kinki region from July 22 to August 21.

Conservative clothing by all except the girl in the last photo. Looking at the last photos of young Japanese girls it seems there’s a current trend to pull the hair back but leave a lot of hair out the front? It often doesn’t look as good as if the hair were all out or all in but who are we to point out funny trends to teenagers … we no doubt all did funny teenage things too to fit in! I guess this is the age where interest in fashion begins and follows a strange path of some really questionable designs until we get to the age where we prefer what suits us and not what is trendy!
ReplyDeleteI agree the hanging hair tendrils are not the most becoming and for me it would be annoying having it in my face when bending.
DeleteElégant le couple princier héritier - Kiko porte un ensemble dont le style lui convient à ravir ; sur certaines photos, j'aime bien voir son époux qui a tombé la cravate !
