On August 27, 2026, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, together with Princess Elisabeth, attended the graduation ceremony for graduating officer cadets at the Royal Military Academy (KMS) in Brussels. During the ceremony, graduates of the 176th class in Polytechnic Studies, the 162nd class in Social and Military Sciences—which includes Prince Gabriel—and several classes from the Special Division were honoured.
Natan Esol Top and Ezzy Skirt

The queens outfit is perfect, keeping with the clean lines of the u informs and neutral colour. Very proud mama, as she should be,
ReplyDeleteToday Prince Gabriel officially received his Master's degree in Military and Social Sciences from the Royal Military Academy in a ceremony where King Philippe, Queen Mathilde and Crown Princess Elisabeth were present. Prince Gabriel will continue his military formation at the Infantry School in Arlon (Be), where he will be trained to command an infantry platoon. He will then undergo paracommando training at Marche-les-Dames (Be) and Schaffen (Be).
ReplyDeleteI am still not used to these new kaki uniforms. They do not suit the king or P. Elisabeth. I preferred the dark uniforms they had before. Queen Mathilde looks tired in her pale outfit. A bit of make-up like blush and red lipstick would be welcome. I think she is still in vacation modus.
the dark uniforms looked amazing especially the skirt on Elisabeth

DeleteThx for the video, but this uniform is the gala uniform of the Royal Military Academy. It is still worn ons special occasions. It is made in the same colors as the gala uniform of King Philippe which he wears on official portraits and at the state banquet during visites of very special heads of state like the Emperor of Japan. The kaki uniform replaces the dark uniform of the Army : dark green jacket and grey trousers for the men and dark green jacket and grey skirt for the women. Princess Astrid is wearing this uniform for the Military défilé on July 21st which is the national day in Belgium. On the last Military défilé, CP Elisabeth wore the blue uniform of the Air Force together with the hat. She aready wore for the same occasion the dark blue uniform of the Navy with the white hat.
Are the khaki uniforms new? Isn’t that a standard army uniform/colour?
DeleteQueen Mathilde looks gorgeous and very well. Glad she’s not wearing more makeup, really not needed. .
Khaki has been the standard colour for the army uniform in Belgium until shortly after Albert II became king. The uniform for the army then changed into the dark green jacket and grey pants. The khaki uniform like worn by the king and his children is new since the National day 21 July 2026. On photo's N° 1 & 2 Prince Gabriel is wearing the old uniform of the Army.
DeleteClever difference in the uniforms, Elisabeth, no top pockets, the flaps of the bottom pocket on her and her brothers are straight, where the king’s have a curve same as the top pocket. Gabriel’s top and bottom flaps are different. And the queen fits in perfectly.
ReplyDeleteThe jacket of Princess Elisabeth's uniform has a nice cut, it accentuates her slim waist. But the trousers are slightly too long.
ReplyDeleteIf her trousers are too long so are P Gabriel while K Phillipes are too short
ReplyDeleteI noticed that as well
DeleteYes the King's trousers are slightly too short. For the others, correct length I think, as when you sit down, if your trousers are hemmed too short, too much leg is exposed. A little longer is more elegant than a little too short.
DeleteQ Mathilde looks very nice in her white combo. Two generations in uniform, they look great. Congratulations to prince Gabriel.

Lovely photos. How proud the parents must be. I like Queen Mathilde’s outfit which is smart and elegant but doesn’t detract from the family members in uniform.
ReplyDeleteI feel the Prince is a highly impressive young man/Royal. He is humble (my impression) he looks marvelous. Tall and looks wonderful in uniform as does his sister and father. The royal parents must be very proud. The CP looks simply marvelous, that is how you wear a uniform and successfully! The Queen looks lovely, how happy she seems. Lovely!
ReplyDeletePerfection all around from the King and Queen, to the Duchess of Brabant and Prince Gabriel.

Well done Gabriel. Nice to see his family looking so proud of him. QM wow, one of her best looks. The shape of the outfit is very flattering, love her hair a little flatter it makes her look years younger. And of course the smiles - the best thing one can wear.
ReplyDeleteSuperbe Mathilde dans cet ensemble blanc cassé qui tranche sur la couleur des uniformes !
ReplyDeleteAbsolument d' accord
DeleteLovely family! Classy and hardworking. Congratulations to Prince Gabriel!
ReplyDeletePrince Gabriel must be close to 2m tall, he towers over his parents and sister (she is 1,75m). He towers over his fellow students.
ReplyDeleteA very tall handsome man. The beret which fits the others looks like a child’s hat on him because of this overall larger proportions. I wish him well.
