May I ask you to clarify the use of the word "minions", please?

      I see, @ Anonymous 9:54.
Unfortunately, " minion(s)" has a rather different meaning, not a good one, actually.
To be clear, it sounds more like
      " being a sycophant".
English borrowed this word from Old French.

      Indeed , @ Ava!
      Isn't it wonderful?
Hello Ava, here I am on a short break.
      How are you doing?
I am fine despite the hot weather.
Sometimes it gets really hard to cope with the sweltering heat...
Wish I could head off to Iceland and meet with the Monaco Princely Couple, lol!
My routes are a bit different now , still I am looking forward to my Scandi holidays and hope it won't take long before I can relax in the Nordic countries, my favourite ones!
I always read your most interesting comments, your clothes and jewellery descriptions are so well articulated and spot on.
Sorry for not having enough time to write back to you more often.
      Hugs, my friend!!

    2. P. the original -- Hello my friend, there you are !!! I have missed your comments! I am fine thanks so much. Oh, marvelous you're on a break, I hope you are resting and enjoying the down time. I can only imagine the hot weather, I don't envy you, yes, it can be a struggle, especially if the nights are warm, don't cool down, we struggle with that in the dead of summer. Our summers are horrible, I live in the wrong continent LOL!
I don't like the heat whatsoever. Our winter currently has been mild. I wait all year for a nice really cold winter, and I have only worn a jacket twice! ( I love colder weather) LOL!
Makes me worry for the incoming Spring and Summer, our Springs have been known to be very hot on occasion, ghastly!
The last few days have been the coolest since Winter started !
Aw thank you, that is very kind of you and appreciated. Sometimes it is a challenge with commenters! On the whole okay. Never apologise. Take good care, stay cool and hydrated. Hugs my friend !!

Hello, @ Ava and thank you so much for your lovely reply..
I believe you, summer nights can be equally challenging in some European countries, really hard to face, even aircon fails to cool off bedrooms.
It gets incredibly hard on night shifts at work, still warm and humid air outside and aircon inside of airports / aircrafts.
I need to put on/ off my jacket all the time , a real struggle!
Oh, winter, I wish It could last forever, lol!
I'm trying to make the most of my down time.
Yes , keeping steady hydration levels is essential.
Thank you, my friend and hugs!!!

  16. Hi P the original. Thank you for your lovely comment. Oh, yes, you would be suspectable to colds? in/out of air/con? Recycled air, virus's etc.. ? Adjusting to the weather changes when travel time with the job must be challenging. Really well done, to you P the original for managing this so well, your job description. it mustn't be easy. Yes, same here I could have winter 24/7 it wouldn't worry me! Enjoy the rest of your leave. I hope you can spare the time for the forthcoming, Danish/Belgian tour. September 8-10, 2026 Queen Mary and King Frederik, paying a State visit to Belgium, cannot wait! for the fashion and jewel choices. Take good care, stay cool. Hugs my friend.

      Hi, @ Ava,
it's so nice to read your kind replies, thank you so much!
Well, the colds...you know, I think my immune system was severly put to the test and got consequently stronger when I was working in the Nordic countries.
I have developed some " survival strategies" meanwhile, LOL.
I try to protect my throat by always wearing a scarf, pantyhose is mandatory when on duty and jackets have long sleeves.
Once out of the aircrafts , you have to wear your hat, too, and passengers might not know that the crew leave an aircraft some time after they have got off the planes.
Basically, there is a given X amount of time for the crew to face the sudden change in temperature once on ground.
Inside the airport: you have to wear your full uniform, so hat and jackets on and keep smiling, please!
It is a struggle , yes, but I think my body is already used to this incredible challenge, lol!
I happen to catch a cold every now and then but nothing serious, thankfully.
Oh, I didn' t know about the forthcoming Danish / Belgian tour .
Yes, I'll do my best to get some spare time to see the related pictures and videos , I'd love to!!
Thank you again, my friend, and hugs!!

  17. P the original, Of course your welcome. That makes sense, you have probably built up an immunity, which is good. Very good and clever strategies on your part whatever you can do to self preserve. Being off sick, would not be fun! That is so interesting the change in temperature once on the ground, these factors the everyday person doesn't think about. I have learned so much, thank you!
Yes, I am quietly excited about the forthcoming Belgian/Danish Royal tour. Hopefully and I am sure Helen will provide us with some wonderful coverage as she always does. Take care and thank you for your comment. Hugs my friend. !!
