  1. Je suis un peu déçue car de son séjour en Europe, je pensais que Masako aurait eu des idées pour renouveler son style vestimentaire ;

      She is capable of both international and Japanese dressing, and does both superbly. You can’t hold an ancient culture strongly and also renew it?!

      When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

    It’s lovely to see the cousins being part of the event. Both dressed modestly.
    HIM really does know how to wear a skirt suit. She is always dressed and presented well and elegantly.
    Lowri.

      @Anon 17:43- HIM is the abbreviation for Her (or His) Imperial Majesty. Like HRH is the abbreviation for Her/His Royal Highness.

    Kako’s floral waistband is so pretty on the cream colored dress ❤️

  5. The Imperial ladies all look beautifully attired and appropriately dressed, well groomed, all in pastel colors across the board. Again, the single strand pearl necklaces are popular, lovely to see.

    秋篠宮さまのネクタイはいつも縞模様で単調だけれど、この日のネクタイはシックで素敵だと思いました。
    女性たちの服装は、いつも通りお行儀が良くきれいです。
