On July 30, 2026, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh attended a netball match between Wales and Jamaica at The Hydro on day seven of the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The Duchess also presented medals following the women’s +86kg final at the SEC Armadillo. For the occasion, the Duchess wore a striped double-breasted blazer by Max Mara, a lace blouse by Aspiga, and green trousers by Galvan.

ردحذفI prefer the Max Mara striped blazer on Duchess Sophie than the one she wore yesterday. Her hair looks better too than yesterday.
ردحذفAnd another blazer again .... the one yesterday was at least casual enough to almost build a good composition with the white shirt and the green pants. Almost: because colour and style composition is obviously not something she can do well. But this blazer is, so nice it is in itself, is a clear miss, it is not something you can just wear with anything. Sure not with a blouse like this (neither the neckline nor the style goes well with the blazer) and also not with that green pant she supposedly repeats because Helen published its photo. Difficult to understand how she just throws three pieces together without wasting one thought if what they build together is harmonious or not.
ردحذفCompletely agree - she seems to think she can just throw an oversized blazer over any and every outfit and it just doesn’t work.. Each blazer in itself is beautiful… but there is no style or coordination . LRB

What a nice look from the DoE. I usually detest double breasted blazers…but here both the sand/beige colour and stripe looks wonderful on her. Nice colour combination on a blond woman is very becoming.

ردحذفThe DofE is looking,as 03:25 has stated, glowing. Summer blazers are exactly what you wear when it is warm outside but chilly in an a/c stadium, she looks good and wears it well.
@08:39, of course there is a suggestion, namely, not to repeat what she does almost always: put together single items, each of which is nice in itself, but do not build a good composition. The suggestion is: take care of what items lend themselves to be combined with eacht other and what items do not. If this is not a suggestion, I don't know what is. You write that she is "glowing", but that has nothing to do with what she is wearing, it is her admirable beautiful face. But she does not have a good taste for her outfits. And summer blazers: no, it does not always have to be a blazer, and besies, there are several types of blazers or casual jackets that lend themselves better for these very casual and sport-filled occasions. She looked best in the dark blue team fleece she had on before she changed into this blazer (I saw it on X). -
