On Tuesday, 21 July 2026, the Duchess of Edinburgh visited the Royal Welsh Show at the Royal Welsh Showground in the village of Llanelwedd. The Duchess of Edinburgh, who previously attended the Royal Welsh Show in 2003 and the Winter Fair in 2018, made her first visit to the Royal Welsh Show in her capacity as Patron of the Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations (ASAO), a role she has held since 2012.

During her visit, the Duchess of Edinburgh toured the showground and met exhibitors, young farmers and volunteers. Running through Thursday, 23 July, the Royal Welsh Show is a four-day event covering everything from livestock and equine competitions to food, horticulture and rural skills demonstrations.
