On 20 July 2026, Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Asayel Bader Charity Society in Amman, where she met with a number of its beneficiaries and learned about its efforts to empower the local community. Founded in 2019 in Bader Al Jadeedah, the society is dedicated to economic empowerment, agricultural development and the preservation of Jordan’s cultural heritage.

Through its flagship empowerment and training programmes, Asayel Bader creates employment opportunities for local residents, produces and markets traditional food products, and implements hands-on community initiatives for young people. It also seeks to maximise the sustainable use of agricultural land by planting fruit-bearing trees and organising seasonal community harvests of essential crops.

  1. The embroidered detail on the sleeves of the blouse is exquisite and matches the colour of the skirt. The ruffles on the bottom of the skirt look odd in my view. Perhaps they flare out too much or there are too many of them. I normally like ruffles so I'm not sure why I don't like these ones.

She is dressed as a foreigner! Instead of embrassing her culture, and make the ladies fell like she is one of them

Hi Anon 21/7, 19:05. I think only a Jordanian could comment with understanding on whether Rania's choice of dress expresses solidarity with these women. Those of us from other cultures do not have the inside knowledge of what is considered socially courteous dressing in every context in Jordan. Lyra

19:05 we need to be very careful judging others especially without understanding. Rania is dressed differently - that doesn’t embarrass other women making other choices. Many styles can be normal and acceptable at once, even in countries you don’t have insight into.

    4. She does not dress as "a foreigner", but as herself. Nothing wrong with it.

I like the way the beautiful embroidery on the blouse matches her skirt. A well thought out outfit. Those shoes are amazing

Je portais des jupes à godets comme cela sans les années 80. Là. Trop de godets je trouve.
    Très joli chemisier .

Love it, blouse, skirt and especially the shoes. Nice feminine, professsional, casual look all wrapped up together

Talking about "empowering local communities" (which is what this Charity is doing): Seeing Raina wearing no head cover could encourage these women to do the same and feel a bit more empowered ... what a pity it does not work.

No wearing a scarf is part of their cultural identity, nothing to do with empowerment or lack of it !!!

  6. This outfit is well put together. The skirt and blouse work in well. The blouse has very interesting features, which are appealing and attractive to me, quite unique. It looks to be pale blue embroidery, beautiful. The color of her shoes, sublime.

Just a question, does Queen Rania ever rewear an outfit at all?

No she does not, I find this fact quite irritating, to be polite, and certainly not
in line with the modern approach to sustainability, fast fashion etc. She should set a good example. I suspect that all her garments are loaned and
returned. What is her message? It is all about fashion and cosmetic surgery, very sad, incomprehensible.
