On 14 July 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, together with Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, presided over the 2026 Princess of Girona Awards ceremony at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. The Princess of Girona Awards honour young people who have made outstanding achievements in a wide range of fields, from the arts and literature to business.
Princess Leonor presented the awards in their respective categories to filmmaker Gemma Blasco, entrepreneur Patricia Aymà Maldonado, entrepreneur Mercedes Bidart, researcher José Eduardo Méndez, researcher Rafael Luque, and social entrepreneur Hatim Azahri.
For the ceremony, Queen Letizia wore a black embroidered tulle cropped top by Carolina Herrera, paired with high-waisted wide-leg trousers by Sybilla. Princess Leonor wore a sequinned collarless blazer and matching trousers by Bleis Madrid. Infanta Sofía wore a raspberry-coloured top by Momoni, paired with matching trousers.
Queen Letizia looks wonderful, I love this ensemble. Very stylish and elegant. Princess Leonor looks beautiful in this well cut, and elegant two piece suit, very chic.
ردحذفQueen Letizia is the best dressed. The combination of this big jacket and a ponytail doesn't create an overall good look for Leonor, imo. Sofia is wearing something that I've recently seen on Grand Duchess Stephanie, something shapeless, with mismatched sleeves, something that does no good to her figure.
ردحذفAll three ladies look great. I love the CH crop top. It has all the right elements for the perfect evening attire. It's also very versatile and can be worn with pants or a skirt. The berry colour of Sofia's outfit is gorgeous and the design is very stylish with that plume of fabric cascading on one side. Leonor looks smart & elegant in her white pantsuit.
ردحذفWell the Spanish royal family knocked this out of the park. The queen’s 2 piece outfit looks fantastic- the sequins on that top makes the entire outfit! She always looks so poised! Princess Leonor’s suit is lovely, a sheen and some texture to elevate it. I like the colour and loose cut of Sophia’s outfit as well…a splash of colour looks great on her!
ردحذفInfanta Sofia is looking much better than yesterday. This red set is fluent and much better for her morphology. She is looking slimmer in this outfit. CP Leonor looked much better in the red pant suit. The white one is looking good too, but It is more summery. A jacket with lapels is fitting better. Love Q. Letizia's outfit. This would also be a good idea for the infanta but in navy and with a longer top. The wide pants are also a solution if one wishes to hide a bit the natural body lines. It creates a smaller and longer shape.
