Did she just crawl out of bed??? Looks like a night gown and sorry but she is too old for that hairstyle. She looks ridiculous!

Thank you for your so very clever comment about what ladies in her age cannot/should not wear. I'd love to know the reason as I am one of them and I wear a ponytail. Wish you a beautiful perm in old age because that is what old ladies oftentimes wear.

What is really ridiculous here is your comment.

What mean comments! Not really sure why you think wearing one's hair pulled up into a bun or French twist has any sort of age limitations either. Janet

OMG... it seems someone else feels old and their reaction stems from the frustration of being unable to pull off that same look.

She is not too old for any hairstyle. You may choose not to wear a certain style, that’s ok. But this one looks fantastic on Caroline.

What unnecessary rudeness. I think you must be quite sad. The princess looks beautiful as always. The photo is not very good quality so it is hard to tell how formal her presentation is on this occasion. Nevertheless, I suspect that she knows better than I what is appropriate for the event. Ps - I do really like the dress on the far right. I wouldn’t like it if I described it, but it just looks great.

Oh how beautiful it must have been, this ballet performance ... I looked up the trailer, dream-like. - Caroline's dress is somehow very fitting for it. However, I miss a necklace, preferably silver or white gold or pearls of course. And I'd love to see what she has on the back of her head. A bun? A ponytail?

There are better outfits for the European heat. Ask Queen Letizia.

@Anon 13:19: It is OK if you don't like the dress. But keep your comments fair and pleasant: Without childish comparisons like this.

  6. Caroline's outfit looks elegant and the blue colour is lovely. The hemline is Interesting with the white applique detail. She looks good with her hair pulled back allowing us to see more of her pretty face.

P Caroline dress or skirt is looking like a beautiful night gown or negligé to wear at home in the late hours of the evening. Her hair like this doesn't make her look any better. She is always wearing a pair of those old fashion looking sandals. Her handbag is OK to go walking on one of the "promenades" alongside the mediterranean but not to go to a ballet performance.
The two other ladies are'nt dressed any better.

Beg to disagree @13:29. I was just going to write the opposite! I think her hair is very pretty pulled back and the dress just lovely for a summer evening’s ballet.

  8. That is Caroline: A natural beauty who does not feel the need to please evebody. And of course she looks gorgeous, especially given the heat in southern Europe these days.

Very ballet esq. pretty dress, lovely colour, lots of fabric on the bodice, maybe too full for her slight frame. I prefer her hair down, pulled back is a bit too harsh for her imo. Inter bracelet.

That was my impression too, the dress has a nice flowing airy ballet-y quality, as if it was chosen for the ballet. Even the pulled-back hairstyle points to that direction.

Oh si che mi piace questo abito che sembra fresco e leggero, adatto per affrontare il calore che ci opprime.
In mancanza di una collana avrei indossato degli orecchini lunghi e luminosi, ma comunque stavolta mi piace molto.

You did not recognize her first - this can happen with a different hairstyle (at any age). And: she looks her age, and this age is not young. You seem to imply that she should strive to look young, which means botox and surgery, what else. Pathetic attitude.

I think her hair pulled tightly away from her face is a nice change, probably cooler too. Alas, the photo is not too clear so difficult to inspect her dress. It appears to be a loose and long dress…comfortable but shapeless. Her purse and sandals say relaxed. Not her best look!

  15. I love the colorful well fitted dress worn by the lady at extreme left of photo. The colors are beautiful, love the pattern on the fabric. The dress is a good length, she looks wonderful. her hair is gorgeous.
