Princess Anne, accompanied by Sir Timothy Laurence, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand from 16 to 17 July 2026. On 17 July, Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence attended a Royal Variety Performance featuring traditional Thai and British musicians, followed by the inaugural performance of the play The King's Command, written by King Vajiravudh, at the Thai National Theatre in Bangkok.
What a lovely dress, the embroidery detail of the hem, v neck , pearls. Not sure of the shawl is a nod to the host, but seems a bit dark for the dress. Sir Tim looks a little disheveled in this light weight suit. Looks like it was worn before, there are holes above the breast pocket that may of had medals pinned to it. Nice that he travels with Anne
ردحذفSo dedicated! I read that she has her hair done professionally weekly and then maintains it herself until she has it styled again. She works so hard and gives so much. I admire her so much!

ردحذفThe pictures are not very clear however, P Anne’s dress looks like a relatively new acquisition.I like the lace and trim on the neckline however I abhor the dust ruffle. In some photos the shawl looks like it compliments the dress. She always looks so tidy.
ردحذفI like the different color of the dress v the shawl. The dress looks lovely, very feminine and elegant. The shawl, lovely subtle colors flickered across the Navy fabric, I like this. Love the pearl necklace and earrings. This has been a wonderful tour by the Princess Royal.
ردحذفIt looks to me if Sir Tim had something attached to his upper breast pocket, I'm wondering if they were dislodged, caught on something? He would never have worn this coat otherwise, I'm sure. He is such a wonderful support system and quietly stays in the background, which I find endearing, not looking for attention. I feel he is a very humble man. Who had a wonderful military career in his own right. Much respect to him.
I agree Ava he seems like a very down to earth person that supports Anne but something is going on with his suit jacket. Usually ex military dress impeccable

Mi spiace dirlo, ma lo stile di Anna non mi piace e non mi convincerà mai. Forse questo vestito potrebbe essere una rara eccezione ma quella balza di pizzo troppo in fondo mi sa di vecchio...come al solito.

The 'holes' above his breast pocket are indeed holes but are buttonhole style holes (stitched) so he can wear his medals without damaging the material.

ردحذفSo back to Sir Tim, I understand what the ‘holes’ are for however, if you will not be wearing medals don’t wear that jacket. I get the re use what you have if it is in a light weight fabric, however the obligation to look polished when representing the crown is a must. I love this couple, he is always there for Anne, he looks fantastic in a uniform, but this frumpy jacket is a no. Anne great dress and minimal makeup looks just fine.
