King Harald Hosts a Reception for the Norwegian National Football Team

On the evening of July 13, 2026, King Harald V of Norway hosted a reception at the Royal Palace in Oslo for the Norwegian men's national football team to celebrate their outstanding performance at the FIFA World Cup. Crown Prince Haakon, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, and Prince Sverre Magnus also attended the reception.

A large crowd gathered in Palace Square to congratulate the national team on their outstanding performance at the FIFA World Cup. Following the reception, Crown Prince Haakon, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, and Prince Sverre Magnus accompanied the national team into Palace Square, where they greeted the crowd.

      Yes isn’t that beautiful?? The enormous, genuine and relaxed welcome of the team by the King? The photo of him laughing is beautiful. Having lived and worked in Scandinavia in different periods over the past 50 years, I can say that how you act is seen as much more important than what you wear, which I find very healthy indeed in a community,

      Don't worry my king doesn't care. He's the most down to earth royals out there. Just look at him in a short sleeved shirt ergo this was a relaxed event. They could wear what they wanted. After all they came straight from the airplane. Ps we the people don't care either.
