On the morning of July 26, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain visited the municipal sports centre “La Chopera” in Villamanta to support those affected by the wildfires. The facility has been prepared to accommodate approximately 200 people evacuated due to the wildfires. They do casual well. I like the fit of the queens pants close fitting but not skinny jean look. My only quibble is the length of the queens belt, seems a bit long on the tail, it doesn’t tuck into a loop.

Forgive the comment, but whether it’s the president or a minister—what matters is showing respect for the residents, not having perfect makeup and clothes.

J'aime bien voir le Roi dans ce jean ainsi que le vert amande de sa chemise ; quant à Letizia, elle a bien associé le blanc de son chemisier avec son pantalon marron clair judicieusement ceinturé !

  6. These jeans the Queen is wearing, I love. I much prefer this style of jeans, as opposed to the 'Skinny' jeans. The long sleeved crisp white shirt looks good. The King looks wonderful in his casual gear. His shirt and jeans, also very good. Its good to see the royal couple supporting the residents relocated to safety at this centre. My thoughts are with all the resident's evacuated, the people that have suffered loss. I hope their has been no casualties or worse.

In the nature fires in France and Spain there are people who didn't or couldn't leave in time and couldn't be saved anymore. The fire influenced by the hard wind came very very fast in some aerea's.

    2. Anon 14.29 thank you for the information, that is terrible news. The loss of life. Possessions can be replaced but life cannot. I will keep the loss of life in my prayers.

What an absolute horrific time for those poor people! I know people say things can be replaced, and they can, but the mementos of a life lived can’t. So terribly sad.

It must not always be super elegant. Both look great in casual. More important is the support they give to the people.

Despite the sad circumstances, there is no need for the queen of Spain to appear with stringy, unkempt hair. The woman on her right is wearing a neat pony tail, for example.

Her hair is not stringy - and if it were, her compassion and showing up would surely be more important to the people she’s there to encourage. But as per usual she’s turned up looking just right. There’s some wind and it blows her hair around a bit and we doctors call this: normal.
