For the occasion, Queen Máxima wore a jumpsuit by Natan. She also wore a 19th-century brooch. The brooch entered the House of Orange collection in the nineteenth century through Queen Sophie, the first wife of King William III. The diamonds and pearls featured in the piece came from the collection of her mother, Catherine Pavlovna, Grand Duchess of Russia and later Queen of Württemberg. The jewel is often referred to as the Russian Brooch.

    2. Yes, I think we all agree on that. However, Qn Maxima is still on the safe side IMV. She will decide when that day comes ...

You come bare shouldered or not, but never with this toneel in your hands!
The jumpsuit in itself is oké.

      “Toneel” must be “ towel”

With the cold weather in The Netherlands and Belgium it is wise to bring a shawl with. Maybe her assistant was on leave yesterday or today.

8:24 what a strange comment and way of seeing things. When we are human and might get cold we can bring an extra layer to put on. It’s such a normal thing to do that your comment comes across as very odd.

  4. I prefer the wearing of this Nathan jumpsuit on this wear. The overall look, beautiful. I love her accessory color. The diamond brooch on her shoulder is stunning, a gorgeous piece, perfectly place. Her up style hair is perfectly groomed, looks gorgeous. Makeup is on point. The diamond and pale pink aqua earrings are a nice choice, drop earrings. The First Lady looks wonderful, her ensemble suits her, love her necklace.

I don't like either of these jumpsuits for this occasion. One is too "sporty" with its front zipper and jacket-like patch pockets, the other with its bare shoulder is too "dance party". Both are too casual a look for my taste. Lyra

Maxima's hair looks good here, it suits her in this style. I'm not so keen on the one bare shoulder look, but her jewellery is lovely. I prefer Frau Büdenbender's outfit, simple and classy, with her necklace too.

I think both ladies look very nice, and the brooch is divine!

  10. I dislike jumpsuits because they are a very impractical item of clothing. But this one looks nice and has some nice features. The bare shoulder, the loose fabric down the back, the wide leg pants make for an attractive oufit. Maxima wisely added a belt for more form and shape.

  12. The first Lady is a very attractive lady, although she obviously does not wear designer clothes all of the time, she can match any royal lady with just her style and elegance anytime no matter what she wears!

The jumpsuit looks different on the model not because she is slimmer than Máxima but because she is wearing her size. Máxima has yet again stuffed herself into a size too small. Women do that to try & look slim, but it has the opposite effect. Máxima's jumpsuit doesn't "flow" like the model's does. ~~Ruthie
