On June 15, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark visited LEGO Charity in Billund and helped pack backpacks for children staying in crisis shelters with their parents. The Queen had previously participated in the traditional packing day several times as Crown Princess, and this time she helped pack backpacks in her new role as Queen of Denmark.
Upon arriving at LEGO Charity, the Queen was welcomed by, among others, Agnete Kirk Kristiansen, Chair of the Board of the Ole Kirk’s Foundation, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, and Karin Skjødt Hindkjær, Director of the Ole Kirk’s Foundation.
Backpacks for Children in Crisis Shelters is a collaboration between the Mary Foundation, the Ole Kirk’s Foundation, and LOKK (the National Organisation of Women’s Crisis Shelters). The backpacks are distributed to crisis shelters in Denmark, Greenland, and the Faroe Islands.
The backpacks given by educational staff to children staying in crisis shelters contain not only basic necessities such as a toothbrush, towel, and clothing, but also toys.
In 2025, around 2,600 children arrived at crisis shelters with a parent. These are the children who are offered one of the special backpacks each year. Since 2008, around 40,000 backpacks have been distributed to children in crisis shelters.

ReplyDeleteCe style de chemisier original me plaît beaucoup surtout quand je le vois avec le jean !
ReplyDeleteThe whole group looks stylish and Mary fits in perfectly.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely factoryworker!
ReplyDeleteI love the blouse, it looks really good with jeans. I also like it loose as shown in the model. I like the casual look of the jeans with the smarter look of the blazer; the whole ensemble suits Mary well.
ReplyDeleteThe trousers are sooooooooooooo ugly
