Princess Anne visited the Tag Rugby Festival in Coventry for children and young people with mild to severe learning disabilities. As Patron of the Wooden Spoon Charity, Princess Anne joined more than 400 young people at Broadstreet Rugby Club for the day-long tournament. The Princess watched matches and met players, coaches, and volunteers taking part in the festival. Wooden Spoon Society is the children’s charity of rugby.

Perfect suit for the occasion. Love that she just needs lipstick to brighten her face
ReplyDeleteCe qui manque à la princesse Caroline. C est mon avis bien sûr
DeleteFinally a really modern look- classy and elegant.
DeleteI have been flat out, trying to keep up with the Princess Royal's engagements! she has been so busy! I still haven't caught up with it all LOL!
ReplyDeleteMuch respect for her, the young gentleman in the first photo as the Princess walked by saluted her, bless him, lovely young man!
This was a splendid visit. It would have met so much to the young children/people afflicted with learning disabilities. This charity could not have a better patron. She was hands on/ communicating and intermingling with the participants, care givers and family members. Wonderful stuff! She just doesn't appear and that's the end of it, much admiration for her.
This ensemble looks appropriate and no distraction for this particular visit, fits perfectly. The beige and blue colors work quite well, not two colors I would have thought to put together, but it looks great, equally the beige bag. I do like the addition of a necklace and small gold stud earrings.
Perfect fitting suit!
ReplyDeleteThis is fit and no-nonsense Anne at her best, not even looking vintage. Talking about vintage, I can't help but post what the Princess Royal recently wore - championing re-wear after 42 (forty-two) years: https://x.com/TheLaurences_/status/2070265926369329510/photo/1 Hope Helen does not mind.
ReplyDeletePrincess Ann is not very interested in fashion. A good practical outfit is enough. She is just this hard working modest royal. The very important added value for the king and queen.
ReplyDeleteI would add just one word: she is not interested in newest fashion (or fashion changes). Her outfits are not negligent or lacking taste. Re-wearing and not obeying fashion's commands is her silent message, without ever having to say word about it. I admire her for this forceful testimony about sustainability, while others talk a lot about it but fly around in private planes.
Delete8:57 well said! I enjoyed your comment. Also I often see here in the comments, that many assume there is one fashion. Whereas fashion is unbounded, there can be many many trends all at once, different cultures (not just countries, but groups within countries within cities within age groups…), different traditions, … and here, Anne definitely part of a growing movement of people whose fashion choices revolve around factors which do not include buying new, buying latest, fast fashion… she’s marvellous in my view.
DeletePour cette visite, la princesse a bien choisir une tenue surtout sans gants auxquels elle nous avait habitués - J’ai hâte de la voir pour son voyage programmé en France !
ReplyDeleteShe managed to have the same figure over the years. And her style suits her so well.
ReplyDeleteA casuel no nonsense style and short distance approach to people.
There's always a slight giggle escaping me when I see her wearing that pair of sunglasses. Not that I would complain about it, oh no. The Princess Royal just does her thing. As usual. No nonsense. As usual.
ReplyDeleteDear DSC, I was taught not to wear sunglasses when speaking to people, because you are supposed to look at people’s eyes, and not taking them off is impolite. Perhaps this is what you meant.

Diese Sonnenbrille muss irgendwann einen besonderen Ehrenplatz bekommen. 😎
ReplyDeleteAnd no black gloves! Even touching other people's hands. My goodness.
ReplyDeleteDon't know how many hands she shook.
Deleteブルーのシャツの上から黒いベルトをしめたら、印象が引き締まったと思います。
