On June 20, the Duchess of Gloucester celebrated her 80th birthday. Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester (born 20 June 1946), is a Danish-born member of the British royal family. She is married to Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester. To mark the occasion, Buckingham Palace released new photographs of the Duchess of Gloucester.
The new photographs were taken earlier this month in the Yellow Drawing Room and the gardens of Buckingham Palace by Chris Jackson. For the photographs, the Duchess wore a sage green dress by Ulrich Engler, featuring a buttoned bodice, and a pleated flared midi skirt.
Happy Birthday to HRH the Duchess! These photos are gorgeous. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the necklace shown in the first photo - wow. The baby bird-egg blue of the belted suit is beautifully cut and fitted and the Duchess looks wonderful in it.
ReplyDeleteNo one in the British royal family wears jewelry like this Duchess. Lord willing, in the far distant (I hope) future, the family will find a way to keep it in the family and won’t have to sell it to pay horrid death taxes, never to be seen again.
