German Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife, Elke Büdenbender, are currently undertaking a state visit to the Netherlands. In the evening, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands hosted a state banquet at the Royal Palace in Amsterdam in honour of the German Federal President and Ms Büdenbender. Crown Princess Amalia and Prince Constantijn also attended the state banquet.
For the state banquet, Queen Máxima wore a floral-embroidered gown by Jan Taminiau. Queen Máxima accessorized the look with the Dutch Sapphire Tiara and Queen Emma’s Sapphire Bow Brooch. Crown Princess Amalia wore a blue embroidered crepe corset gown by Rachel Gilbert, paired with the Diamond Star Tiara.

All 3 ladies look lovely here; I think Frau Budenbender's red dress is my favourite though. She always dresses well in my opinion, whatever the occasion. Maxima's tiara and matching earrings are gorgeous; so are Amalia's although of an appropriately simpler design.

حذفAmalia’s dress has nice shoulders but is a bit too tight, and Maxima has an overdose of juwelery, not necessary on a patterned dress. When she wants this enormous brooch, why not on a shoulder: The upper part of the dress is not embroidered.
I agree the red dress of Frau Elke is the most beautiful, also nice color and shine on it!
حذفThe Dutch royal ladies look lovely tonight. Queen Maxima know how to pull the Dutch Sapphire tiara perfectly. Princess Amalia’s hair and makeup are beautiful. Her diamond earrings are stunning. My only critique would be her dress. While I love the color, I am not a fan of the style.
ردحذفMy first thought was the same as some on here - all three ladies look great. No one person's dress is 'too much' or 'too little' compared to the others despite all three having different types of style. Mrs. Budenbender looks good in red, I've always like this Taminiau gown of Maxima, and P.Amalia suits the fitted simplicity of this lovely blue gown.

I love Mrs. Budenbender’s gown, and only wish she had chosen to wear a necklace, which would have completed her look beautifully. Maxima’s gown is gorgeous, and of course the tiara is a show-stopper but I don’t think sapphires go particularly well with the beige and brown tones of the dress.

ردحذفThe First Lady: lovely. A simple classic design will never fail. The warm rich colour and sheen of the fabric says it all.
Amalia: the 5-star tiara has a lightness of design, almost a fairytale look, which is perfect for a young woman, especially when worn with hair down. As far as the sleeves and bodice of her gown go, photos dont give us the best look -- but the delicate pale blue colour and the simple, narrow long lines of her gown create a perfect contrast to her flowing hair. Maxima is wearing a golden oldie. A beautiful embroidered dress although I always thought that the color was a bit bleach for her. Over all she looks wonderful. But today Amalia is the top for me. This great simple dress with just the necessary jewelry is really fantastic. No necklaces and lots of bracelets like Maxima would have done. Hopefully more of this style in the future. She is a beauty.

The jewelry is of course a beautiful historical piece. The ladies have appropriate and pretty outfits, but I like Mrs. Budenbender's dress the most. The red color brought her to life beautifully, showing off her slim figure and she glows. It's hard to believe that she is already in her sixties.
