On June 9, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla presented two new Colours to the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards ahead of Trooping the Colour this weekend. One of the new Colours will be carried by The King's Company, Grenadier Guards, during the Trooping of the Colour at The King's Birthday Parade on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
The Grenadier Guards is the most senior infantry regiment in the British Army. In the last 18 months, the Regiment have been deployed on operational training exercises in Cyprus and Kenya. Since its formation, the Grenadier Guards has fought in every major war, including Waterloo, the Crimean War, the First and Second World Wars, and most recently Afghanistan.

The Q looks wonderful in this peacock blue color! The skirt pleating and white lace inlay are really flattering and I also love the hat with the tonal bands.

ردحذفThis shade of blue is beautiful. It reminds me of the ocean and is quite appropriate for a June engagement. I don't really like the pleated dress as it seems somewhat shapeless, (a little more fitted around the waist or hips would have made a great difference) but I really like the textured lace insert, which contrasts so pleasingly with the blue all around it. The hat, as always, is spot on.

حذفThe shape: well, yes, nearing 80 years, the shape is not something that a more fitted waist/hips can really enhance. Quite on the contrary, what it does enhance are other parts (tummy etc) that the person is possibly not keen on being enhanced - i.e., fitting does not make a nonslim waist slimmer.
حذفLove the lace insert, colour and even the pleats, however the bodice with darts just look misplaced, or too wide. Hat is nice.
