Lovely clothes on Mary here; the red blouse and skirt are gorgeous, and the skirt also goes well with the plain white top. The blouse looks good with the white trousers. A great way to mix and match the clothes, especially with Mary's dark hair.

Oh they are both so beautiful! This blouse - of which Mary owns several in several colours right? - it’s lovely. Paired with the skirt it’s a delight. I don’t love chunky metallic neck coils but when you’re the star guest, you’re allowed to go bold and stand out!

  5. This outfit is the definition of "smart casual" in my view. Queen Mary always looks good in red (as do most people) and this is no exception

That’s interesting Annie. For me this is way beyond smart casual; there’s nothing casual about it. It’s quite a smart, formal look… which goes to show how much cultural context sits in fashion!

  7. The print skirt is beautiful but I wish it was shorter. I don't like ultra long skirts. They are also a safety hazard when it comes to walking and climbing stairs. The red top is perfect. Mary wears such interesting outfits.

You just lift the skirt as you step up and down. Less safety hazard than a tight short skirt.

You can never have enough Jesper Hovring wrap blouses! they are fabulous evergreens, simple, soft, very feminine, versatile. Always happy to see one of them. Skirt style is just a little bit hobo, but in a subtle way, the combination is perfect.

  12. This is a refreshingly lovely outfit, gorgeous red color, suits her well. Love the skirt, nice swish and movement. The petticoat of the skirt is near to the hem which I love, I don't like them shorter. Love the earrings, thank you for showing a closeup photo. The gold necklace is perfect. I love the fact Mary wears these accessories, it is a good choice and nice addition. She looks very elegant.
