On June 4, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden visited Nämdö Archipelago National Park, Sweden’s first marine national park in the Baltic Sea, located in the Stockholm Archipelago. The visit was part of the Crown Princess’s initiative to visit all 31 of Sweden’s national parks. The visit began with the Crown Princess and Governor Cecilia Skingsley being welcomed by representatives of the County Administrative Board.
The Crown Princess and the Governor then took a walk along the trail and cliffs surrounding the southern tip of the island. During the walk, they received information about the marine environments both on land and beneath the surface within the national park, as well as the research and environmental surveys conducted in connection with the park’s establishment.
After lunch, the Crown Princess and the Governor travelled by boat through the national park to Hamnskär, where they paddled sea kayaks to Brunskär–Trätskär. By visiting all of Sweden’s national parks, the Crown Princess aims to promote outdoor recreation, encourage physical activity, and inspire more people to discover the natural experiences Sweden has to offer.

She seems to be a terrific human and I think she’ll make a wonderful queen!
