On June 8, 2026, Crown Princess Victoria inaugurated a statue of Greta “Golden Greta” Johansson on Royal Djurgården in Stockholm. Diver Greta Johansson, also known as “Golden Greta,” was Sweden’s first female Olympic gold medallist. At the age of 17, she won gold in the women’s plain high diving event at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm.
The statue of Golden Greta is located at Djurgårdsbrunnsviken, near the site where the swimming and diving competitions took place during the 1912 Olympic Games. The statue is a tribute to Greta’s remarkable achievements and life’s work, as well as her role as a pioneer and role model for women in sport. The statue was created by artist Peter Linde.

A perfect looking summery dress which I wouldn't mind having in my wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteIt also teamed well with the jacket as worn previously by Victoria.
Cate.
Victoria looks great in this beautiful dress. I like the design and the print which has a great contrast between light and dark blue. The flared sleeves are particularly interesting.
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks like a simple housewife!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very nasty comment !!
DeleteI am not sure a housewife would wear an organza dress!
DeleteWow 14:04, housewives in your book sure are glamourous!
Delete... a simple housewife? In contrast to a complicated housewife??
DeleteCoralie! So good.
DeleteVictoria looks good and the statue is lovely!
ReplyDeleteAgree in both points!
DeleteWhat a great summer dress, fits so well and that little collar makes all the difference for the overall look.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful print fabric and colour. The bottom valance is completely unnecessary as it cuts off the print for really no reason. I am not fond of the standup collar but at least it is not buttoned up.
ReplyDeletePeut-être une belle robe mais selon mon avis, je pense que les impressions n’apportent pas de l’élégance !
ReplyDeleteI know this wasn't a formal event but it would seem a brimmed hat would have been good. You can tell she (and others) are having trouble with the bright sun.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very nice dress and something I wouldn't mind wearing myself.
I am afraid the dress is not what I like. A pity because it fits her, but the sleeves are too wide, and the dress is too long. I do not like the dark print. Maybe in a brighter color it would look better.
ReplyDeleteToo long for…?
DeleteThis is a beautiful dress, up close you can see it is of very good quality, well made. Love the design and style, suits the CP well. The color scheme is attractive. I especially like the belt, collar and these type of sleeves. Her navy clutch is a welcome addition. Lovely to see a subtle, necklace, nice addition.
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this dress, and it really suits Victoria. The design, material, length, sleeves, belt; and it looks good with the navy blazer and clutch too. A win all round.
ReplyDeleteI think she looks great. We know she loves a print dress and can sometimes be overwhelmed by busy prints. This one suits her because it's simple blue and white and it has great details.
