Norway celebrates its Constitution Day on May 17. The Crown Prince family’s celebrations began at their home, Skaugum Estate, in Asker. Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, and Prince Sverre Magnus greeted the Asker children’s parade from the steps outside Skaugum Estate. Thereafter, King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince couple, and Prince Sverre Magnus greeted the children’s parade from the palace balcony in Oslo.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra attended National Day celebrations in Sydney, hosted by the Norwegian-Australian Chamber of Commerce, Sjømannskirken – Norwegian Church Abroad, and ANSA. In August 2025, Princess Ingrid Alexandra enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Sydney.

A bit sad that MM has to use nasal specs but lovely that
ReplyDeleteIngrid Alexandra got to celebrate Norway's special day in Sydney.
Cate.
sad for MM its like the beginning of end unless she gets a donor soon!
Delete''Ingrid Alexandra got to celebrate Norway's special day in Sydney''
it looks like she the only one in attendance, for for the photo.
Ma cousine porte elle même sa poche à oxygène et fait quelques courses aussi sans aide.
ReplyDeleteKing Harald moves with visibly great difficulties, but if he decides to show himself publicly, then he is moving alone and with great dignity. This prevents evoking pity by shifting attention to the difficulties instead of the person. In Mette-Marit's special case, the same attitude would be of eminent importance to be or remain credible.

ReplyDeleteWhat on earth is that supposed to mean?
DeleteShame on you!
Deleteand here we are: the Comment of the Year!!!
DeleteIndeed
DeleteI didnot know the meaning of “ karma” either and looked it up: it has a very negative connotation.
DeleteShame on you! She has made serious mistakes, and you think she deserves this as "punishment"?? Worry about your own karma.
Delete12:58 I agree!
DeleteYou realise this one will backfire, genius?
DeleteHelen, or moderator, can this cruel comment be removed, please?
DeleteGood to see them but sad that CPMette-Marit’s health has declined so much. Lovely of her to make the effort. Great to see Princess Ingrid Alexandra celebrating in Sydney
ReplyDeleteIngrid Alexandra looks wonderful! Such a smart and beautiful young lady!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and the brooch on MM is beautiful. Prince Sverre Magnus is wearing a style I haven’t seen before, but it’s full of beautiful details and he looks very handsome, especially standing with the family dog bedecked with a bow in national colors.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that the Prince looks very handsome too.
DeleteIngrid national dress is very pretty, the detail on the hem elevates the whole look.

DeleteThat seems like an unnecessary comment about a woman who is seriously ill. She merits our sympathy not our criticism.
DeleteJeepers 20:10 but that’s a cold hearted interpretation of a person sick enough to need supplemental oxygen and a chair to sit for corresponding fatigue.
DeleteHet kan ook zijn dat medelijden probeert op te wekken door zich zo te vertonen.
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous 18:42, thank you for your excellent comment illustrating the difference between King Harald’s courageous and diligent approach to duty and Mette Marit’s presentation.
ReplyDeleteOne has difficult standing - the other has difficulty breathing. Have some compassion.
DeleteOrganisationer har sagt adjö till fortsatt samarbete.Tråkigt att norska folket inte kan göra detsamma.
ReplyDeleteI think it is time for Ingrid to come home to study. The royal house needs her presence, aging grandparents, seriously ill mother. Her father needs her support.
ReplyDeleteNice to see the family together at National day. Ingrid Alexandra celebrated miles away from Norway. Sverre Magnus is a handsome young man.

The Traditional costumes are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe set of comments here regarding Mette Marit’s appearance being staged are cold and lack medical understanding. I’m appalled.
