Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako made a two-day visit to Ehime Prefecture on the occasion of the 76th National Tree Planting Festival. On Sunday, May 17, 2026, the Emperor and Empress attended the ceremony of the 76th National Tree Planting Festival at the Ehime Prefectural Sports Complex. The Emperor and Empress also visited Tobe Zoological Park.
The National Tree Planting Festival has been held since 1950 as a central event of the national greening movement. Its purpose is to deepen public understanding of forests and greenery, which form the foundation of the nation’s rich natural environment.
Tobe Zoological Park is home to more than 635 animals representing 144 species. The zoo’s most popular animal is Peace, a polar bear that was hand-reared through bottle feeding.

Love the second outfits - for both the Emperor and Empress
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. When he Empress wears pants, they are well tailored and fit her beautifully; however, her skirts always seem a bit "baggy" and too big for her. That being said, I still like the skirt suit and its colour.
DeleteI love the empress’s beautiful mint green outfit!
ReplyDeleteWouah, je ne peux pas dire vers quel look de Masako va ma préférence soit le vert anis ou pied de poule ?!
ReplyDeleteI particularly like the second outfit (nothing wrong with the first one, though). The gingham pattern (or is it houndstooth? Not sure) looks fabulous on her.
ReplyDeleteAgree they are both well fitting. The light coloured jacket on the emperor is very nice as well.
Delete楽しい!
It’s great to see the Empress who looks so beautiful and happy!
ReplyDeleteFlying bird = Houndstooth! Excellent, thank you!
ReplyDeleteBoth of the Empress's dresses are truly beautiful, but I have to admit I have a strong preference for that gorgeous mint green! It's not an easy color to wear. A sincere thank you to the user who provided these beautiful explanations in Japanese.
ReplyDeleteI love how the Empress can go from skirt suit to casual. I love the navy and white, even carrying it through into the shoe and clutch bag. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
Looks to be mint green suit, gorgeous color. Lovely ensemble, the pearl necklace, perfect finishing touch.
ReplyDeleteThis casual outfit, well thought out, looks to be pearl and black pearls, necklace and earrings. She looks smashing, love the white pants and combined b/w jacket.
Like really both outfits. Empress Masako is such an elegant lady.
