At the Scoutinglandgoed site, Queen Máxima then visited several Scouting activities, including climbing, pitching a tent, and building a raft. Young members and their supervisors explained what Scouting means to them and how it helps them develop into independent scouts. With more than 115,000 members, Scouting Nederland is the largest youth organization in the country.

Is it new? She's out in the woods, wearing slacks & boots, sitting on a picnic bench & maybe a log, putting up a tent. What do you expect her to wear? She looks fine. ~~Ruthie

This is a great organisation for young people and I'm glad Maxima is involved here. I like what she's wearing, I'm trying to see how high her heels are as flat shoes would surely be more practical. At least she's not wearing stilettos!

Si, comunque non rinuncia ai tacchi e questi saranno almeno di 8 centimetri. Non era meglio se avesse indossato scarpe basse come gli altri?

It seems hard for some public ladies to step out of their accustomed very high heels, doesn’t it? Many or most outfits look better with flat shoes according to me. Letizia is showing the way with small heels and great elegance.

Great olive color on the vest, pants, and shoes but the blouse elevates the whole look, appropriate for a Queen. Nice outfit!

This choice of clothing is fine for an afternoon of scouting; the bow could have been left off and I would have liked a pair of sneakers better, but it is okay.

Outfit appropriate (for once) hair a stringy mess. Low pony tail would have looked much better. Unlike others I will not give the platitude of all can be overlooked because of her exuberance, etc.

It is not a platitude to allow a woman to be herself.

23:28, she is the wife of a KING, she should be setting a good example. She certainly can have lovely hairstyles at times, however this look does not resonate with any sort of respect for her position.

Wifes of kings are allowed to be themselves these days. They are the helping hand of their husband and represent him when needed. In the old days the wifes of kings only had to be beautiful, wearing a beautiful dress and do nothing during the whole day and above all don't have an opinion and shut up. These days modern wifes of modern kings are sometimes very busy, they are going alone abroad to assist at all kind of conferences, gatherings, public relations, economic -, social visits, etc... When they can go now and then to a relaxing visit with a scouts group f.ex., they have the right to dress more casual. I am sure King Willem-Alexander agrees with the way his wife is dressed and at times one can see he is very proud of her. It is time that the public starts considering the royals as working people. Of course they have privileges which common people do not have. But often after the visit of a king and queen to another country new projects start between the 2 countries. Modern queens do marvellous jobs where they dress beautifully for an evening dinner and/or reception and more business like during the day. When they are assisting at some youth activities like scouting, sports clubs, folkloric activities, let them be casual and happy they diserve it.

  7. This is a wonderful world wide organisation. My own children participated for years. Its great to see Maxima visiting this group, showing her support. Her ensemble is appropriate and a good choice.

Niet persoonlijk worden op deze site.
We moeten het niet belangrijker maken dan wat het is.

@20:38 - I think your comment is disrespectful, a person is allowed an opinion.
I agree with many comments here, heels are ridiculous for this visit - trainers or hiking boots more approriate if she was supposed to participate - hair tied back would have been better, and the frilly blouse just looks ridiculous in this setting.
