  1. This was a visit of substance, well done to the Queen. Her pants are a good fit and length.

Having heard Maxima speaking several times, I have to say she is always of substance. Sometimes there’s a playful component to her engagements, but she is always genuine and deeply caring

A yellow garbage bag, or what is that top? Sadly, pale make-up, messy stringy hair, are not match for the rest of the outfit, or are they? Major fail all the way around.

Ouffff, dear commenter… I think I’m glad you weren’t my school teacher. I’d be left devastated by the lack of seeing anything positive in me.

Kleur lekker zomers, maar wat een rommelige slecht gemaakte top, de hals is echt beneden peil het geheel kreuk als een tierelier.

Strange top, must be “ design”.

    1. Yes, design. I can accept it. For me the hair does not deserve criticism, somehow it is also design.

This outfit she has worn a few times and each time it looks dreadful, imo!
Not sure if the trousers and top are supposed to be the same colour, but they are not. The `design` of the top suggests a soft fabric that drapes should be used but the fabric used gives a more structured look which just does not work. The overall effect is of mismatched colours(including the bag and shoes) and a dishevelled look - and that includes the hair which is definitely not design more scruffy.

The hair is lack of care, not by design. Tacky for the wife of a King.

Or maybe in a different culture from yours she is focusing on what matters and not your hair standards? In Europe we are far more natural with hair and extra hair products such as hairspray or styling treatment such as straightening are the exception not the norm.

@10:19: "lack of care": no. Lack of hair (thin hair) and not keen on extensions, a decision I praise - in a time when everything visible on the female body gets artificial enhancements. Well done Máxima, well spent time, the time you don't give to a hairstylist every day. Because she is almost every day out working.

The top is unusual and not to my taste. Likely NATAN? But I would criticise the designer over the wearer. As for Maxima’s hair, it’s her hair; I cannot appreciate the comments which are unkind about a personal part of her body.

@10:51,surely the wearer has chosen the design, so why criticise the designer as the wearer could have chosen something else?
The various comments made about her hair are good observations of what they see and I respect their right to express that, none are unkind IMO.

@12:45, "why criticise the design": what else? we are not here to criticise the wearer, we are here to criticise the design/outfit. I don't know why it is so difficult to understand what a fashion blog is about.

Considering the fact that the Dutch Royal family costs more than 7 times compared to the Spanish Royal family, you would expect them to make a bit of an effort to represent the country in a dignified and stylish way.

What a peculiar design for this blouse; I feel claustrophobic just looking at it, and it is so amateurishly made, not very regal. I love monochrome outfits, but here it is too much of a good thing, too simplistic, and unfortunately the whole look appears sloppy; she would be much better off with the enormous amount of clothing she has to choose from.

I like this outfit very much, in part because I think the queen looks best in monochromatic outfits. It also has a “casual but interesting” vibe which Q.Max can definitely carry off. (V.M.)

I usually love what Queen Maxima wears and her sense of exciting fashion. However, I am not a fan of this outfit - I think it is the color that throws me off. As for the perplexing discussion of Natan by Maxima and Mathilde, I don't know if it is a political /national choice, but I am not a fan of Natan, so if I were a royal, I would just dig my heels in and refuse to wear their styles, when there are so many other exquisite designers available to them. just my 2 cents worth!

Not my favorite suit or color, too much mustard yellow. What counts is the visit to this medical facility.

@10:38 - the wearer obviously didn`t criticise the design because she bought it, it is hideous, therefore the wearer should be blamed for their choice.

No 7:34, we don’t need blame. That’s awfully harsh. We are looking at a woman and her clothes. No blame required.
