On her final day in Istanbul, Queen Mathilde took part in a meeting with multilateral banks and Turkish financial institutions to discuss financing and cooperation opportunities for large-scale projects in Turkey. The Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance and the Governor of the Central Bank also attended. Afterwards, together with the Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology, the Queen visited the MEXT Technology Centre.
At Istanbul University, the Queen attended a seminar on cooperation in the biopharmaceutical sector, with a particular focus on rare diseases. She also met with patient representatives. She then met with Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek before attending a lunch with FEB and TUSIAD, one of Turkey’s leading business federations.
