On May 29, 2026, Princess Madeleine visited Gävleborg County and her duchy of Gästrikland. Princess Madeleine holds the ducal title of Hälsingland and Gästrikland. The visit began at the Sörby burial field in Årsunda, located in the municipality of Sandviken. The site contains more than 90 graves dating from the Late Iron Age, making it the largest burial field in Gästrikland.

Princess Madeleine looks appropriately dressed for her visit to the burial ground; I like her jacket and trousers. Storm Johannes was so destructive - I've experienced similar where I used to live.
Madeleine looks wonderful in her traditional folk costume; beautiful colours and the scarf or shawl is absolutely gorgeous! Hair and makeup look good too.

Very nice casual look. Not a fan of the lady’s balloon pants that are in fashion, though they may be roomy, non restrictive, and cool.

Madeleine looks very nice, in both outfits. I do like the National dress; she looks wonderful wearing it.

My brain has a bias against the jacket … to the old safari suit jackets common in the 70s… so I would have preferred to see her in a simple hiking shirt and jumper if needed. On the other hand, the national dress is absolutely gorgeous in itself and on her.

Great photos from the visit and I hope she will visit Hälsingland and Gästrikland more often, now that she's back in Sweden and no covid.

Madeleine's daytime outfit looks great for more casual activities. Her traditional folk costume looks absolutely gorgeous, love the colors and fit. She looks so pretty.
