Princess Anne, Princess Royal arrived in Greece for a three-day visit to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Crete during World War II. On May 22, 2026, Princess Anne, accompanied by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, met with Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas at the Presidential Mansion in Athens. From Athens, the Princess will travel to Crete to attend a service at the Royal Air Force Memorial in Maleme.
For the meeting with President Konstantinos Tasoulas, Princess Anne wore her gold ribbon brooch. Crafted in the shape of a loosely knotted ribbon, the brooch is made of gold and studded with 12 diamonds. The Princess first wore the brooch in 1969 to meet American astronaut Colonel Frank Borman at Buckingham Palace.
Princess Anne looks great here. Her jacket fits perfectly and is a good contrast with her dress which suits her very well, along with the bag and shoes. Not quite sure about her gloves - they look a bit medical if that makes sense as they are rather too white. Better than navy or black though! She never overdoes her jewellery and the brooch is interesting. She looks as if she's enjoying this visit.

ReplyDeleteShe looks fantastic in this colour, brightens her face, fit is perfect, and of course her signature lipstick which just finishes her look. I must say the shoes are a miss for me, very matronly, I know comfortable and she likes them, but still does not glam up the outfit. The gloves I ignore because she takes them off after all the handshakes, and I am sure are not meant to be an accessory to the outfit. Woild like to know more about the brooch.

Thank you Helen for the description of the gold knotted brooch. Up close I appreciate the details more, its quite beautiful, and striking. Her gold necklace with sprinkling of diamonds, I also love. Her dress and jacket look great, as does her accessory color. Good to see Sir Tim with her, they are a great team. Wonderful to see her out and about, she is hard to keep up with! her work ethic is incredible. She is the jewel in the crown.
