On May 19, 2026, Princess Anne, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, hosted The Not Forgotten Association’s Annual Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in London. The Princess and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, met with military veterans and service members, as well as volunteers and staff from the charity. Princess Anne is Patron of The Not Forgotten Association.
The Not Forgotten Association is a British Armed Forces registered charity for serving and former servicemen and women that operates throughout the United Kingdom. For more than 100 years, The Not Forgotten Association has supported veterans and service personnel who have suffered physical or mental injuries, illnesses, or loneliness.

Anne would be a great queen.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, fit for a Q. Always energetic, photogenic and commited.
Not overdressed or exaggerated for attention. Much respect for this Lady.
I think you’re right - but not because of her clothes. Rather her stoic attention to duty and sheer commonsense. For clothes, I find them interesting (hence I visit here) but completely irrelevant to the capacity to carry out the role. Anne would please her mum clothes-wise I think. But I also love seeing how Camilla has taken up her role so wholeheartedly when not being born to the role. I love that she has found her way including a uniform that suits her.
DeleteShe learnt from the best, her mother QE2
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteAnon 13;56, you formulated a very sensitive reply, Thank you!
DeleteI totally agree. She is an amazing woman.
DeleteAgreed! The absence of QEII left a huge vacuum, but it’s really nice to the next generation, and their spouses, in charge. I absolutely love to see coverage of the PR and she shows an impressive and special type of leadership, even through photos.
DeleteThank you for making such a lovely and wonderful comment, agree with you.
DeleteShe looks really elegant, very 1960's style coat. However I would have prefered those patch pockets sewn on invisibly by hand or machine not topstitched. I think welt pockets would have looked even better. I like the brooch holding the jacket closed but I don't think it goes with the clasp of her pearl necklace. Perhaps this time the clasp should have been at the back.
ReplyDeleteI like this coat very much, topstitched (thanks for the word for it :-)) pockets too, because it sits nicely on an otherwise straight and simple coat. Or maybe we could call it a long jacket instead of a coat, because the skirt or dress under it is made of the same fabric. And exactly this is "old fashion((ed)", but a really good, clean style - kind of skirt suit but in long, which is very elegant. 3/4 sleeves talk exactly in the long jacket direction. Neckline is beautiful, allowing full visibility of her choker. Well done for the shoes too.
ReplyDeleteShe looks lovely in this coat, this particular light colour is nice on her, brightens her face. Lipstick is all this lady needs. The jewelry is perfect. Great lady!
ReplyDeleteI find myself surprised by how freshly elegant she is - can’t remember last time I liked her outfit.
ReplyDeleteI like the coat and dress, but the dark gloves (black or navy ?) are not looking good with this ensemble. Also her handbag is too dark and too big and if she can only wear black shoes because of a foot or leg problem (I see she is wearing compression stockings) it is not a problem. She could at least had worn a smaller purse in light grey f.ex. and gloves in the same light grey. I do not understand why she has to wear 2 different brooches. If she has to close her coat with a brooch, she should have taken away the other one. Why must she wear apparently an old pearl choker ? It ruins the beauty of the coat, dress and hat. Were there really no other family members who could accompany P. Anne and her husband ?
ReplyDelete@17:14 , maybe you are new as a 2royal watcher2 - has it ever occurred to you that the "second brooch" might have a special relevance for the visit? This is the case here too, just zoom in and maybe you'll recognize why she did not "take it away". - Also, foot problems, if any, do not require black shoes, Anne evidently wanted to wear them. - "Old pearl choker": I don't even know where to begin with an answer ... Princess Anne is not a fashion or jewellery model showcasing the latest fashion. "No other family members": this special additional garden party, dedicated to a special charity for war veterans ("Not Forgotten"), of which Anne is patron. - It is OK if you are not so well informed, but then maybe be careful with uninformed judgements or ask others before you talk about "old pearl chokers" etc.
DeleteBelle allure dans ce petit manteau qu’elle a judicieusement fermé par une broche qu’il ne me semble pas avoir déjà vue ; par héritage ou nouvelle ?
ReplyDelete@17:38- well said!
ReplyDeleteThe Princess Royal looks impeccable and was obviously enjoying the company of the veterans.
I'm so glad Anne is involved with this important organisation. It must have been so traumatising what these people went through. Her coat and hat are perfect here; she is fond of navy or black gloves but I'm not going to criticise, it's just her style.
ReplyDeleteA real great Lady. And yes - she is 100 pro her Mothers daughter. Lovely Outfit today , very nice colour.
ReplyDeleteI think this might be one of her best outfits. She looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAnne looks very elegant here. I like the way she used a brooch as a closure for her coat - it reminds me a bit of the Duchess of Gloucester’s creative use of jewelry.

How beautiful she looks. Lovely to see a rewear of this gorgeous ensemble. The coat and dress are perfect for this occasion, stylish, elegant yet very subtle. Her bag, clutch and gloves good color. Love, the hat, suits her well. The perfect finishing touch were her choice of jewels. Loved the brooch, this is a gorgeous piece, I love its placement, perfect. Her triple strand pearl choker, beautiful, I think she wore the subtle Sapphire stone with her pearl drops, perfect choice of earrings. Her interaction with the Military veterans and service member is natural and comfortable, she has a real knack its wonderful to see. Fabulous to see Sir Tim, literally always by her side, not overbearing just supportive, they are a great team. She would have made such a marvelous Queen.
