I thought it looked better during a first wearing moment; it looks disheveled. The precious diamond stars on the waist don't suit this jumpsuit at all, and as for the hairstyle, you can see that a neater look makes a huge difference.

  2. Très joli ensemble. Je préfère la silhouette de Maxima à celle du mannequin.

Le mannequin est trop maigre. Maxima est une belle femme avec des mesures normales. The pant suit by Elie Saab is extra ordinary haute couture.

    long !

  4. Are there holes in the sleeves? Do not care for that feature.

Well, I think the design of the sleeve does not add anything extraordinary to the design. It would be better without it. It looks so "forced"... like - let us do something special but to my opinion it does not do anything good to the outfit...

Agree, and the lack of colourisnot good either

If there is no colour one cannot say she is looking for attention.
If there is no colour and she is in a room with many people one cannot find her, so she cannot look attention. Isn't that what a lot of commenters want, that she is not very visible ?

It is like Elie Saab designed it. If you don't like it is OK. You don't have to wear it. If Maxima likes it, it is OK too. At least she looks interesting, which cannot be said of many queens or princesses.

Agree 16:28 The sleeve cutouts are very striking, and require a very simple outfit in order to shine. Unfortunately, the waistband and the other seams and details (and brooches) compete for attention with the cutouts. I think this sleeve detailing would look truly amazing on a plain floor length gown. Lyra

De diamanten sterren in de taille passen geheel niet bij dit trendy jumpsuit. Het kapsel zier er ook erg rommelig uit.

Quite an exuberant outfit for an exuberant Queen. I do wonder why designers ever use this particular dead flat beige; it’s a rare woman who is enhanced by this colour.

Very appropriate question, @21:22. And another question is, why Máx, of all women, chooses to wear it :-))

    2. Absolutely agree with both of you. Why choose this bland colour? I’ve seen people choose ‘champagne’ for bridesmaid’s dresses as if the name makes up for the lack of colour!! Queen Maxima generally looks fabulous in her vibrant colours. This is just joyless

  9. I'm not sure if its brooches star and pearls on the belt, hard to define, adding interest? The sleeves the same adding interest to the cuff area. The overall look is undecided, if the pants were not so long and appear baggy, she would have looked better groomed overall imo. Her accessory color is perfect, I love this color and blending well overall.

I don’t like this nude colour, not so flattering.

I do not like the color, sleeves, or pleats of this jumpsuit. Maxima’s hair also looks a bit of a mess here.

Not her best look. It's not a good fit and the belt is not helping. Plus she needs to brush her hair.

An exubarant queen, should a queen be exubarant OR be a queen representing their country and seeking attention by wearing odd if not ridiculous outfits?
