On May 11, 2026, King Charles III and Queen Camilla attended “A King’s Trust Celebration” at the Royal Albert Hall in London to mark the 50th anniversary of The King’s Trust charity. The event was hosted by television presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who became Goodwill Ambassadors for the Trust in 2021. The King’s Trust, formerly known as The Prince’s Trust, was founded by then-Prince Charles in 1976.
The cape notwithstanding, Camilla's dress underneath looks lovely from the little we can see of it from these few photos (maybe better pics will be added). The colour is lovely and the lace collar and lace tiered flare on the skirt look stylish.

I would opt for thinnest but warm merino+silk underwear (I do that most of the time so I know what I am talking about) instead of a formless cape. Or a beautiful pashmina (Queen Sonja wears them beautifully). - For everyday occasions I don't have a problem with Camilla's frequent choice of a darker pantyhose - but for a lace outfit in the evening, that is in itself dark, it is too heavy.
ردحذفThe thing with a cape is you throw is off once you’re in the warm. Can you imagine the Queen doing that with your merino and silk underwear in public?! The cape has its purpose!
حذفI find these dark but still sheer stockings extremely flattering on leg shaping. It’s a style choice I like very much and find it very elegant for evening wear.
حذفHi anon 22:34, I understand the romantic appeal of a pashmina or stole in a light luxurious fabric, and I've seen numerous pics of various queens wearing them; however to my eye, such soft stoles often make the wearer look awkward; the wearer's arms seem primarily engaged in preventing the length of unattached loose fabric from falling off or flapping about. It's all a little too fussy and high maintenance for my taste, whenever serene elegance is required. Lyra
حذفThis is the first time I see Camilla wear a longer cape, very practical. Although usually not an admirer of them, this one is tolerable. Your suggested underwear might be too warm once inside.
حذف@05:56, no, of course I did not suggest that the Queen could shed her merino underwear once inside - what gives you such an idea? Merino/silk is warm in cold weather, but not necessarily too warm inside, that's why I worte "I know what I am talking about", I love and use this kind of underwear. But of course, this is only me and my opinion, I don't want to talk anyone our from their better-than-mine cape tolerance :-)

The King is dressed very well and looks nicely tailored. Love the blue and purple color combo on the Queen and the cape is a beautiful evening addition.

The cape worn over a dress with a wide skirt is not a good idea. I like the color of the cape but not to wear with this dress. A light grey cape or even a white one would look much better. If only Queen Camilla could forget to wear dresses which are too wide. On wide skirts a short jacket is much better. The black pantyhose is not very chic under a dress like this. Better wear natural looking pantyhose and keep the black ones to wear next autumn and winter.
