To mark the departure of Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie from Fischbach Castle, where they have resided since 2020, the municipality of Fischbach unveiled a monument in the village honoring Grand Duke Guillaume. The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess also hosted a reception in the park of Fischbach Castle for all residents of Fischbach.
Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie will soon move to Berg Castle, while Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa will move to Fischbach. For the occasion, Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore a floral silk dress by Hobbs London.

Pretty dress. Chris
ReplyDeleteYes, it is. She looks lovely,
DeleteThe Duchess looks youthful and lovely. I’m a fan of this sweet family! MR
ReplyDeleteYES! Grand Duchess Stephanie, you look gorgeous— please wear dresses like this more often!!
ReplyDeleteAgree. This colour and style looks lovely on her - she should wear such outfits more often - far better than the tight pantsuit she was pictured in recently.
DeleteShe looks lovely in this colour. I like her shoes compliments her dress.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty dress for the occasion. Her hair always looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis Hobbs silk dress is very attractive, it is long on the GD, but regardless it looks good,
ReplyDeleteI do prefer the Hobbs dress, worn by the model strictly because of the length, a bit shorter and type of shoes she is wearing, these shoes are stylish and attractive. GD Stephanies shoes, are a bit chunky for my liking, but she is wearing what appeals to her, all that matter. The model's hair is up and pulled back, highlighting well the neckline, and pattern of the fabric. The children are delightful and look good. Special mention to little one who presented the beautiful flowers to the GD, he looked wonderful in his suit, looking very respectful to the GD, love it!
Lovely, summerly dress. The cut is perfect for her posture. She should wear more dresses in A-line, made of flowing material.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are full of smiling residents, beautiful scenery and a big party…what more would anyone want!! The royal couple is dressed beautifully and love that the Grand Duke is wearing a yellow tie to coordinate with his wife. Her dress is a spring meadow come to life and it’s perfect in fit, color, and style for the event.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress, looks beautiful on her!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous and feminine dress. This really is beautiful on her. The neckline works well in this fabric for her shape. The length is gorgeous. The shoes aren’t my favourite, but that’s completely irrelevant, as they look good for walking on the rough surface and no doubt she likes them (because she chose them!). I would have tried to get away with white sneakers or flat sandals.
ReplyDeleteSo glad she didn’t opt for sneakers, I much prefer her sandal.
DeleteIt's a very
ReplyDeleteI would not recommend this dress for GD Stéphanie. It is too long and makes her look wider than she is. The placement of the flower print does not help either. She should wear plain colors like emerald green, red, royal blue, dark yellow, orange, (black & navy with contrasting details and or accessories) ...
ReplyDeleteHer summer dresses are always looking too big because she wears them too long. I would not recommend a wide skirt.
A print is more forgiving than plain fabric which would show all imperfections.
DeleteOh no 7:30 she should not restrict herself to your list of solid plain colours! That is unfair! She’s a woman, she curvy, she’s pretty, she has her own ideas and preferences. She should wear … whst she wants! Dressing canNOT be about minimising our real selves. That’s a terrible indictment on another woman!
DeleteIt's a very pretty dress, but I'm not sure it's the best style for Stephanie's figure; it makes her look bigger than she is. I like the v neck, full sleeves and swishiness of the skirt, but it all looks a bit too much on her; it's better on the model, who is taller. In fact it could look good as a wedding guest dress for a taller woman. The children are cute! I hope they all enjoy living in their new home.
ReplyDeleteWhy all these personal remarks regarding Stephanie‘s figure? She struggled to get pregnant and there was probably medical intervention involved. Many women do not regain their former figure and are unhappy about their fruitless efforts.

Thank you, Virginia, for putting me right about Stephanie's pregnancy struggles (I'm 07:44). I should have been more careful with my comments. She is a lovely woman and I've seen comments on here before, saying why can't she wear what she likes? As Indeed she can. I still love the dress, and can see why she does too!
Delete@Virginia: yes, many women are unhappy because of this, everybody knows it. But in some cases it is exceedingly difficult to give an opinion about purely the dress - because the figure is involved. To say this is a fabulous dress is true, but not the whole business, it would not say anything about how it fits Stephanie. I think women with this problem can optimize their appearance by wearing somewhat less flowing fabric around themselves, IMHO. In this case, I would have shortened this beautiful dress - at least to the point where the florals end - that would be much better. She has spectacularly beautiful legs - someone tell me please why not accentuate the best features instead of following the long fashion?
DeleteReplying to Virginia - we need to learn to dress for our shape. That is all. No-one is saying she needs to be skinny but a good stylist could make the best of her lovely curves. I think this is true of Mathilde and Maxima too - they can look slimmer or larger depending on what they wear. It makes me realise I need to take a bit more care of choosing the right shapes for myself rather than simply what I like! LRB
DeleteNo 16:27, we do not have to learn to “dress for our shape”! We can learn to accept our bodies and enjoy them and enjoy clothes too. It’s so unfair that if someone is curvy that strangers think they can tell a woman what she should wear!
Delete@Anon 12:49 "why can't she wear what she likes? " Of course she can, and everybody can wear whatever she wants to. But this type of remark is off the mark in a fashion blog. They can wear what they want, and we can opine about it what we want, as long as we are not offensive. That people oftentimes do not consider their own bodily characteristics, is a fact, and this makes itself noticeable. If the answer is that they like what they wear, then the blog can close up shop.
DeleteQuelle jolie robe Stephanie…magnifique. Et ça lui va à ravir. J espère, elle continuera dans ce sens
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful recognition to invite all inhabitants! Stephanie looks great in this yellow dress, good colour for her.
ReplyDeleteTrès frais ce modèle de robe fleurie mais à mon humble avis, il conviendrait mieux à Stéphanie avec quelques centimètres en moins et surtout plus près du corps !

Stunning.
ReplyDeleteA bit too long on the GD (it is of a length where one cannot determine whether it is meant to be floor length or calf length; here we have something truly in between), but a beautiful dress nevertheless. Flowy, summery, good.
ReplyDeleteI have re looked at the photos and I think this dress would have looked better in person. Some photos capture her arms close to her body blending in rather than defining. A tad shorter would be okay but I like this length on her. And I do like her wedge sandal shoe, casual open toe , gives her a bit of height and openness that a closed toe would not give. Love this colour on her and the print is not overwhelming, nor showing imperfections.
ReplyDeleteLovely dress, could be perfect but it is way too long and too much material and the shoes are horrible.
ReplyDeleteI love her in this dress, it accentuates her feminity. Fischbach Castle looks wonderful, do anybody know where they will stay from now on?
ReplyDeleteNice looking dress the best are their little boys. Super cute.

Its a lovely dress that would be even better with some simple tailoring at the waist and with the length.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress on the Grand Duchess.
